Happy Time

We gathered at Michelle's house for Chinese New Year. After that we had some good time at funfair. Four of us, including dearie went out to have some drinks at Easy Way in the end, fun nite! Talking and laughing all night long.

The 15-Day Celebration of Chinese New Year

The first day of the Lunar New Year is "the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth."Many people abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them.

On the second day, the Chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. They are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.

The third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.

The fifth day is called Po Woo. On that day people stay home to welcome the God of Wealth. No one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.

On the sixth to the 10th day, the Chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. They also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.

The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.

On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.

The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.

The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner. After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.

The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

Human Weakness

I fall sick 2 days ago. I feel so uneasy and unhappy during the time I sick. And I took one day's sick leave and rest at home. Finally I'm all right again. *_* Doctor told me to drink more water... I should listen to him, water is really important not only for human being but all living things in this world. If you are agree with me, drink more water from now! +=)

Dead tired

What can you see in my eyes? Today's me I'm totally tired, dispirited, exhausted by work! But frankly I'm quite enjoy with this new job. Everyone are good to me, that's why I'm happy with it no matter how tired I am. ^_^

Working Life

I've start my working journey again. Everyday wakes up at seven thirty. Wait for dearie fetch me to have our breakfast, after that he went to work and I back home and get ready for everything. Before nine o'clock I will ask my dad fetch me to work. Quite contented with what I am now, at least I've something to do. One of my friend told me, "it doesn't matter that you're university graduated or not, you can learn another thing else in your life, not only because you're a university graduated student means you already achived anything, you can improve yourself by reading, you can get self-improving on your own!" Thank you so much for these speech. I would like to accept everything you said, and will try to remember it always...

Saint Bernadette - The incorrupt body

These are the pictures of St.Bernadette who died 122 years ago in Lourdes, France. The body was first exhumed 30 years after her death. Her body does not decay because during her life time, the mother of Jesus would always appear to her and give messages and advice to all mankind the right way to live on this earth. Many miracles has taken place in this place of Lourdes until today.

If you ever go to Lourdes, France you can see her body in the church of Lourdes. She died 122 years ago but you still can see her body fresh. These pictures show her body after 122 years later.

We went to play badminton games just now. Now my body was all aches and pains! I keep perspiring and breathe deeply. After all it was fun.

Good news! I've got a job. Going to start my new job in the coming Monday. So happy when I received a phone call from the company, saying that they already decided to hire me. *WOW* Maybe this is what "Lucky" bought me. I'm overjoyed. Finally I have something to do and I know what should I do in the future. Staying at home for months was so boring. Hence, I've given up the thinking of further my studies. So now I must put in 100% heart on this job. I hope I can do it well! Wish me luck!
