Lovely! I just bought a new pinky watch this Monday with dearie at night market. It's such a good bargain! =D

Confused! Helpless!

I don't know what's thinking inside my mind. Why I got the idea again. Who can tell me what should I do?! I really feel so confused! Vexed! Why I so mind about what people saying! Why I always feel inferior in front of others?! I wish to end all these! I wish I could find a way to solve all the problems!

Forgetful

I'm trying to write down how I feel, what I'm going to do everyday into my notebook before I forget everything in my mind. I'm getting blur and blur everyday. Simply forget about things which is just happened or mentioned. Terrible! I hate so!

New Digital Camera

My sister just bought herself a Pentax Optio S6 Digital Camera. It cost her RM1230. With 3 X Optical Zoom, 6.0 Megapixels. I think this camera is good enough and worth alot. It's so light & slim, so easy to carry it out.

Hamper

My sister got this beautiful hamper from her colleague. She has been discharged from hospital today's afternoon. God bless, my brother also back from hospital today. Hope they can recover from illness soon.

Hateful Mosquitoes

My elder brother and sister has been sick and was sent to hospital for few days. My sister was sent to hospital on Valentine's Day *so unluckily* and the next day my brother's turn. We are so worry about their condition but luckily nothing serious for them now. Hope they can discharge from hospital soon!

Valentine's Dinner

Again, we went to our favorite MyBoat Restaurant to have our Valentine's dinner. The restaurant is fully packed with lovers. Luckily in the end we managed to get a seat. ^_^

Nyonya chicken fillets, won-ton, doly fish fillets, straw mushrooms... all taste so SWEET on that night... :)

I got these paper clips from my secondary classmate Ai Li. Met her during CNY in Yi Nye's house. So happy to meet with her after years. She's still so friendly and sweet. Still remember one year before she left Malaysia I used to kidding with her, asking her to bring me a man from Scotland during her study time in UK. It's wonderful to meet with old friends, really.

Nothing change for this brand new year. I still got alot of Ang Paw this year. Already bank in all the money I got. Going rich in every Chinese New Year *Haha*

What is a red packet and how to give one?

A Red Packet (Red Envelope) is simply a red envelope with money in it, often decorated with lucky symbols, which symbolizes luck and wealth. It is called Hong Bao in Chinese.

Occasions for Red Packets

Traditionally red packets are handed out to younger generation by their parents, grand parents, relatives, and even close neighbours and friends during Chinese New Year. They are also popular gifts for weddings and birthdays. Nowadays giving red packets as a bonus at the year-end by employers becomes popular.

How Much to Give?

It depends on the situation. If you give red packets to kids for the New Year, age will be an important factor. Usually the older the kids are, the more money they will get. For a kid of five years old, one or two dollars will be fine. It will be better to have enough money in the red packet for a 15-years old to buy something himself. If you go to a wedding, the money in the red packet should be about right for a nice gift. Naturally you will be glad to put a little more money in it if you have a very close relation with the couple. But it should be based on your financial situation and don't overdo it. It is similar for birthdays. The red packets usually contain less money since birthdays are not as important as weddings. People often just bring gifts for birthdays. You can also bring gifts for weddings.

Giving red packets to employees prior to the New Year is also a good idea. This can be either a gift or a bonus. If it is as a gift, the money should be just right for a gift. If as a bonus, you may enclose a check in the red packet and hand it out in an office.

Cook It Yourself!

We went to take our lunch at My Boat Restaurant on 6 February, it's just near to my house. Love the environment there and also the steamboat. Golden mushroom, chinese cabbage, doly fish fillet, chicken slices, stuffed foo chook, siew mai, Nyonya chicken fillet... all taste so yummy! I think we will go again next time. =)

More Than Words

I think I'm going to post more pictures on my weblog. Sometimes I'm really busy until no time to write down what is happening everyday. Since Mr. Tan already bought me a new 2.0 mega pixels camera phone, I must use it well and take more pictures for future memories. ^_^

Dim sum

1 February 2006, a new month for us. It's still Chinese New Year. We had some light refreshments at Fook Yuen Restaurant around 10am. So nice that I can gather again with my good friends. =)
